For Employers

Statewide Group Training is the easiest and best way to get a productive employee trained for your business.

Statewide Group Training employs Apprentices and Trainees (Australian Apprentices) under a Contract Of Training and Employment and leases them to businesses ( Host Employers ).

Whilst the Australian Apprentice is placed at the workplace of a Host Employer, they are legally employed by Statewide Group Training and remain a Statewide employee for the duration of their contracted employment period.

Statewide Group Training is responsible for:

  • Organising and co-ordinating formal Training
  • Payment of wages including penalties
  • Superannuation
  • Workcover
  • Sick leave
  • Holiday pay
  • Recruitment and selection
  • Mentoring
  • Performance monitoring
  • Personal Protective Equipment (where required)

This is all done through Statewide's computerised payroll and administration systems.
Wages are automatically and directly deposited into the Australian Apprentice’s bank upon receipt of workplace validated weekly timesheets. Host Employers do not have to do or worry about any administrative paperwork associated with the employment of an Australian Apprentice for their business.

Statewide provide worksite monitoring, mentoring and support for the Aust Appr and their supervisors each 8 weeks (or as required) and offers support for all parties on any issues relating to the employment and training of the Statewide employee.

The host employer is left free to concentrate on their business.
